Natal Chart Report

Introduction to Your Birth Chart Report

What follows is your personal natal chart information, as well as interpretations of the positions and aspects in your chart.

With this report, you'll find out the positions of the planets in your natal chart by sign. The most personal of these are the Sun sign, Moon sign, Mercury sign, Venus sign, and Mars sign. Most people already know their Sun sign.

If your time of birth is known, you will also find out your Ascendant, or rising sign, as well as the positions of the planets in the houses of your chart. Additionally, aspects between the planets are listed and interpreted.

If the birth time is unknown, we cannot know the Ascendant or house positions. The natal chart shown here is an Aries chart in that case. Additionally, you may not know the Moon sign for certain. This is because the Moon changes signs approximately every 2-1/2 days. Less probable but still possible is a change of signs for the other planets and luminaries, depending on the planet itself (for example, the Sun changes signs every 30 days or so).

Each paragraph of interpretation refers to an individual position in your chart. All of these positions and aspects are some of the "parts" that make up a "whole"--you! Some of these interpretations will be contradictory, just as people are contradictory. A person can be timid in love and aggressive in business, for example. As well, we evolve and grow throughout our lives, facing challenges that help us to handle our positions and aspects in a different way. We all have choices, and one of the major benefits of astrology is the chance to understand ourselves so that we can work with our natal charts and improve ourselves. Any computerized report that interprets the individual placements in a natal chart is somewhat disjointed, simply because the different parts that make up the whole are not synthesized.

Some of the interpretations are more detailed than others. You can use this as a starting point and do some further reading about different positions (such as Moon in Libra, Saturn in the 10th house, Moon conjunct Mercury) in your chart by exploring our own site, other astrology sites, and by reading astrology books.

The tables show the technical details of your natal chart, personalized based on your birth data. Below the tables, you'll find your free birth chart interpretive report, and a chart wheel appears at the end of the report.

Planet Positions, Ascendant, & Houses

The following table shows the position of the planets in your chart, by sign and degree. You will also find the sign of your Ascendant and the signs on the cusp of each house in your natal chart only if the birth time is known. The Roman Numerals refer to the houses, where the Ascendant is also the first house and the Midheaven is also the tenth house. For example, if the sign Taurus is next to Mars, you know your Mars is in Taurus. If the sign Libra is next to Venus, you know your Venus is in Libra. If Cancer is next to Ascendant, you have a Cancer Ascendant, and if Leo is next to II, Leo is on your 2nd house.

Natal Chart Report

Birth Chart

This birth chart report shows the positions of the planets for Trish.

The Sun

The Sun represents vitality, a sense of individuality, and outward-shining creative energy.

The Sun is in Leo
There's an unmistakably regal air to Solar Leos. These are dignified--even noble--folk. Leos have a reputation for being conceited, but think again. Leos do feel important, but it's usually because they want to change the world in some way--to make the world a better place. They are motivated by affection for people and often have big dreams and plans to make people happy.

Leos are hard-working. After all, they are attracted to the good things in life and know they have to work to get them. It is sometimes difficult to imagine Leos as go-getters if you happen to catch them in one of their languid moods. These people can sleep in, laze around, and luxuriate for long periods. However, when they do get to work, they do it with intensity and determination. In this way, they are not unlike their symbol, the lion.

The worst thing you can do to a Leo is accuse them of bad intentions. Displaying behavior that makes them think you don't appreciate them runs a close second! These happy, jovial people become mighty hurt when others don't see them for their noble intentions.

Loyal, and sometimes rather traditional, Leos are, after all, a Fixed sign. They'll hold on to situations and people for a very long time before they give up.

There is an unmistakable idealism to Leo's view of the world and the people in it. Often, Leos have a very noble inner code that they answer to. Although Leos appear rather confident on the surface, they can also be humble. They are the first to blame themselves when something goes wrong. Once again, it's Leonine self-importance at work, and this characteristic works in unexpected ways. Instead of being the conceited, self-absorbed show-offs of reputation, they can be very self-aware, self-conscious, and, yes, even humble.

Short description:

She is masterful, brave, and competitive, she likes authority, she aspires toward an ideal. She likes to give advice. She is honest, frank, loyal, open, and sincere.

Possible issues: pride, vanity, arrogance, presumption, and disdain for others.

Leo with ascendant Libra

Sun in X: The Sun is in the tenth house

The urge to work toward a goal, for success and accomplishment, or for power is part of your make-up. You are uncomfortable in any position where you must "take orders" from someone else.

Advice: Recognize your ambitions and your need for authority without going overboard, as it can be excellent for your health and vitality. Seek a career that allows you to manage rather than be managed, if possible. It's better to accept the part of you that is ambitious but take pains to avoid over-identifying with an image that isn't genuinely you! A successful career is guaranteed, but it sometimes comes late.

Key points:

She always seems to attract attention or get noticed. She likes to be seen in winning situations. A competitive spirit, a leader.

-116 Opposition between the Sun and Lilith

She has a self-destructive side to her that should be managed by confronting her fears. She might worry about a friend betraying her, although others find this person charming.

The Moon

The Moon represents the emotional responses, unconscious pre-destination, and the self-image. The Moon represents the emotions, and the Moon sign shows how a person expresses themselves when at home, at ease, and comfortable.

The Moon is in Virgo
Lunar Virgos find security in the little things in life. They feel most content when they've straightened out all the details of everyday life. Many enjoy running errands, paying bills, and balancing the books. They take care of these things happily, although some won't let on. In fact, many Lunar Virgos are quite practiced at nagging! As long as they are appreciated, however, these people will help you take care of your life, too. They are at their best when they feel useful and needed. If somebody needs help, they are generally the first to jump up and take on the task.

Some people with Virgo Moons are accused of being underachievers. While it may be true that Lunar Virgos can lack self-confidence, many are--quite simply--content with living "regular," unassuming lives. They appreciate simplicity and are often most comfortable when they're not getting too much attention from the world at large.

Lunar Virgos are easily overwhelmed by pressure and stress. They worry incessantly when there is too much to think about, and they know their limits. Arguably the worst situation for a Lunar Virgo to endure is without a steady routine or a satisfying job. They need to feel useful, and they best express this by helping others. They need something to call their own and the space to do what they want to do. The unhappy Lunar Virgos are fussy and complaining sorts. They are victims of routine and freak out when their plans are not followed. They are restless and nervous, and can't seem to see the big picture. Probably the best remedy for them is a job or hobby in which they can express their deep need to analyze, attend to details, and micromanage.

These people express their affection for the people they care about in non-showy and practical ways. They can be a little stiff when it comes to open, gushy displays of affection. Lunar Virgos are often shy with new people. However, when they are comfortable, they are anything but shy--they're talkative, interested, and interesting.

More often than not, others can count on Moon-in-Virgo people. They are reliable and trustworthy. Above all else, Lunar Virgos are practical. Others turn to them for help and advice. In relationships, Lunar Virgos can be self-effacing and kind. Some are quite shy in love and easily intimidated. Some aren't comfortable with their sexuality, but they aim to please nonetheless. The sign of Virgo is very body-aware, in general. If this awareness combines with a lack of self-confidence, Lunar Virgos can be too aware of the parts that make up the whole. This can lead to a tendency to be intensely self-critical. Once Lunar Virgos learn to come out of their shell, however, they can be earthy partners with a lot to give.

Some of the most skeptical people are Lunar Virgos. They can't help but poke holes when faced with others' blind faith. Their criticism can be maddening, and their insistence on seeing the practical in anything emotional can be challenging, especially if you are the dreamy type. Virgo curiosity shows up big time with this position of the Moon. To some, it can be confusing. Lunar Virgos seem very interested in others' problems, for example, but can come across as cool and even unsympathetic. Their advice can seem hard to more sensitive folk, yet Lunar Virgos can be surprisingly delicate when faced with others' criticism.

Virgo Moon people are busy and quietly happy when they have their lives under control. They aim for a simple existence and are often quite content with very little. Many are early risers, ready to take on the day with enthusiasm. They scurry around, keeping busy and managing their life quietly and expertly. As long as their personal world is manageable, Lunar Virgos can be a delight to be around. They're fountains of knowledge, and they can be excellent with advice and insight. They're also a wonderful voice of reason.

Short description:

She has a very good memory. Scientific or medical studies are preferred above all others. She is humble and moderate, calm and reserved. Emotional discipline. She is willing to help, devoted and gentle.

Potential issues: servile nature, frequent changes of occupation, quick to become annoyed, upset, and worried. She is too quick to brush off opportunities.

Moon in XI: The Moon is in the eleventh house

Lots of friends, relationships. She makes friends easily, and her relationships can help further her professional success. Feelings of friendship are sometimes surface level. Often, lots of children or nurturing friendships.

This position of the Moon indicates an emotional need for belonging with, and support from, friends and associations with groups. You look to acquaintances for support and offer the same in return. A changeable or unstable social life might reflect inner emotional unrest.

Waxing and waning feelings for others can cause relationship problems. You are a person filled with many dreams, wishes, and hopes for your future, and most of these are altruistic and good-hearted desires. However, with your changing moods, you might change your aspirations frequently and have difficulty settling on goals to work towards. More stability comes from learning self-reliance.

-61 Square between the Moon and Jupiter

She is sometimes indifferent to others, to those who surround her; she is sometimes careless, and perhaps a little negligent and indecisive. She may "feed" inner restlessness with excesses in gambling, shopping, or other comforts, and her honesty is sometimes a bit elastic. This aspect does not help professional success, especially as she tends to spend more than she earns, but this aspect doesn't deny success either. Making the most of success can be the challenge. Sometimes enthusiastic and gung-ho, and other times indifferent, it can be challenging for others to understand her. Changeable morals to suit the current situation. Should look for constructive avenues for her inner restlessness. Wonderful sense of humor and big hearted.

-18 Opposition between the Moon and Saturn

When the Moon is in hard aspect to Saturn in the natal chart, natives need to learn to trust others more. Fear keeps them from fully enjoying personal relationships, and fear is behind the occasional rigidity that they express. When they let themselves receive nurture or care from others, an inner voice cautions them that it might not be sincere, long-lasting, or enough! There can be some reluctance about becoming a parent, but once taken on, these people don't take their responsibility lightly.

Emotional reticence is the main theme of these aspects. Many people with this aspect had a lot of conditions placed on the love they received in early childhood. They tend to expect the same later in life. With hard Saturn aspects, individuals are often plagued with doubts, not only about the self but about what to expect from life itself. The problem is that expecting difficulties or negative situations creates an aura around them that perpetuates the problem. They must work hard at positive thinking and expecting more from life. Ironically, many people with hard Saturn aspects can be quite sarcastic, skeptical, and rigid in manner. This is essentially a defense mechanism designed to protect themselves from harshness in the world.

It is extremely likely that they feel neglected because they perceive it in the first place, and later expect it, to be the case. There's a vicious circle going on here that can only be broken when the patterns created by negative conditioning are broken. Adjusting one's perceptions and expectations is the key to breaking out of these negative patterns. Otherwise, natives of hard Moon-Saturn aspects will live life feeling left out--attracting circumstances that perpetuate a feeling of deep unhappiness and dissatisfaction.

Short description: She has changeable moods, a reserved character, can be stubborn and may lack assurance. Her relationship with a guardian may have been difficult or a challenging early family life in some cases.

4 Conjunction between the Moon and Pluto

She can waver between a rich and successful domestic life and social success, perhaps having difficulty succeeding at both. Very perceptive and given to psychoanalyzing people. A strategist. Powerful emotions and intense feelings.

98 Sextile between the Moon and Midheaven

She has a strong sense of family, profound feelings, and may especially like children and animals. If there are changes in her professional life, they are most often for the better. There is a sense of forward movement, popularity with those in authority or in the professional life.

Mercury

Mercury represents communication, Cartesian and logical spirit.

Mercury is in Virgo
She likes to discuss, deduce, and judge. She reasons logically and accurately. She may spend a lot of time on practical matters and keeping things in order. Sometimes nitpicky and nervous, secretly feeling she handles matters better than others.

Mercury in XI: Mercury is in the eleventh house

She has lots of friends. She likes intelligent, cultivated people around her with whom she can enjoy verbal sparring. She likes debates, interminable discussions. Often has friends who are younger, or friends come and go.

You are endlessly curious about people, group interactions, community affairs, trends, and teams. You are attracted to people who bring new ideas into your experience, and who have something novel to contribute on an intellectual level. You are very forward-looking and fair-minded. Fair play, impartiality, and unselfishness are important ideals for you. There can be many changes or fluctuations in your personal wishes, dreams, plans, and ideals. You might attract friends who come and go, or who are dishonest or duplicitous.

115 Conjunction between Mercury - Venus

She looks on the bright side of life. She is gay, agreeable, optimistic, sociable. She enjoys speaking and writing, and she does both with charm and artistry. Her intellectual pleasures are very much influenced by her feelings. She is amorous and sensual. She likes beauty, the Arts, travelling, frequent changes of scenery. Aims always for diplomacy. Very charming.

Venus

Venus represents an interest in emotions and values, exchange, and sharing with others.

Venus is in Virgo
Venus in Virgo people are not the flirtatious sort. Instead, their appeal lies in their dedication, their willingness to work on the relationship, and to make the relationship work in real terms. Unlike Venus in Leo, they won't try to impress you with grand gifts or promises. Their gifts are less showy, but perhaps far more generous -- gifts of devotion and attention to details about you. Venus in Virgo natives quietly (and often slowly) make their way into your heart. They are quite sensitive in love -- even insecure -- and this reserved, loner-like quality is part of their appeal. They prefer to play it safe in their relationships, and they need to be confident that you like them before they make a move. They are great listeners and they make it a habit to observe and learn all of your ins and outs. Their love can be of the Kindergarten variety -- they show they care by nagging or criticizing. Remember, though, that they are not trying to hurt you when they are pointing out the flaws in your thinking, plans, or even character. They truly are trying to help! Venus in Virgo is attracted to nondescript people who have largely gone unnoticed. Show-offs and know-it-alls turn them off.

Pleasing Venus in Virgo involves showing you appreciate them for all the little things they do -- and they do a lot. The problem is, they do these things so quietly that you may not always notice or credit them for all these kind gestures. They do need some space (after all, they're generally quite busy making everything work), so give it to them. Be genuine, not ostentatious. They are really not difficult to please after you have taken care of these basic needs. Avoid pushing your friends or family on them too fast -- remember they are a little shy. They aim to please, and are easily intimidated by your experiences. Let them know how much you value them, and they will reward you with devotion and a charming willingness to talk things out.

Short description:

She is very devoted, but may not always show emotions; she doesn't always let herself go, either through fear of ridicule or through fear of not being loved in return as much as she loves. She is therefore sometimes too undemonstrative. May give off the sense that her love is not for free. Caring but worries that she is not exciting enough. Careful with money.

Venus in XI: Venus is in the eleventh house

Successful professional life in great part due to good relationships, friends or patrons. She finds love in the circle of friends.

The friendship level of your relationship needs to be genuine in order for you to sustain romantic interest. You tend to focus on a person's unique qualities -- those traits that make him or her stand out -- as the most attractive. Your relationships must possess some kind of unconventional element in order to keep your interest levels high. Calves and ankles are either erogenous zones for you, or parts of your body that are particularly attractive! You may meet lovers through group activities. Although you value friendships and group affiliations highly, you might jump into friendships without considering the responsibilities they might entail.

-2 Opposition between Venus - Saturn

She is hard or reserved at times, and doesn't always know how to express her emotions. She may be frightened of showing her love, and this can lead to disappointments, break-ups, lack of satisfaction. She has doubts, can be suspicious, worries too much, possibly jealous but more likely insecure. She will learn how to be happy in love, to be at ease with herself and to control her jealousy or gain more assurance and sense of self-worth in the second half of her life, possibly thanks to a mature person, who helps her learn to trust.

91 Conjunction between Venus - Uranus

Independent in love. Her love life is rich, but possibly with passing love affairs. She can tire quickly and can be scared of losing her liberty. Traditional marriage may not be for her. She has that little something that attracts others. She likes amorous adventures or unusual pastimes, she is romantic, although a little detached or unpredictable. She is the eternal lover and is more likely to break something off than live untruly. She likes art, anything new.

The ability to get along with--and accept--people from all walks of life as friends is strong with this position. She can readily see through insincerity in others. In relationships, tolerance is the most important "ingredient" to her. Her sexual preferences can be somewhat unconventional, and she may not be happy with a partner who tries to limit her sexual expression. She is usually quite capable of maintaining relationships that require a great deal of freedom and tolerance, such as long-distance romances or set-ups in which partners are unable to see each other consistently. Her style in love can be somewhat free and breezy, and possibly noncommittal. She quite naturally accepts the idea that her partner might need some personal space and freedom.

43 Conjunction between Venus - Pluto

Her emotional and sex life can be powerful and rich. She lives out truly passionate love affairs. Extremely resourceful, she is also excellent at determining the worth or value of material things. She can help others to discover their own worth as well. She is naturally attracted to relationships that transform her, that are growing and evolving, and that are intense. She can use her strong intuition and understanding of others for good or for bad, and this depends largely on other aspects in the chart. She can be highly devoted and passionate to the things (and people) she loves. She can be quite persuasive.

Mars

Mars represents the desire for action and physical energy.

Mars is in Libra
Mars in Libra natives often reflect about things before they act. Decisiveness is not their strong point, but they do, eventually, get things done. Many people with this position procrastinate, generally because they feel the need to weigh all of the alternatives before taking action.

Life isn't always fair, as Mars in Scorpio would say, but Mars in Libra will seldom accept this notion. These natives can easily get caught up in defending themselves and others. Although their overall goal is to live peacefully, they stir others up with their desire to balance everything. Still, they always play innocent when they are challenged, and can generally charm the birds out of the trees to win your favor. Passive-aggressiveness is practically the hallmark of this position. They don't want to look like they are ever being mean or unfair, but aggression has to go somewhere! Too often, this results in sneaky behavior and subterfuge. On the other hand, some Mars in Libra people turn the Mars energy into action, and they fight for Libran justice and fairness in the world. On the up side, Mars in Libra people are adept at predicting when problems and discord will occur well in advance. They know how to compromise and are excellent at conflict management.

Mars in XII: Mars is in the twelfth house

So much of her energy goes into working life. She loves research. She could be a lab worker, doctor, police officer, teacher specializing in hospital, prison or hospice work. She can be indirect and very private. Rich dreams and fantasies.

With Mars in the twelfth house of the natal chart, you can struggle with asserting yourself in direct, natural ways in your youth, but with time and experience (and perhaps some hard work), you're likely to learn to work with this energy rather than allow it to work against you. Watch for a tendency to feel defeated before you've given something a real shot. You are extraordinarily resourceful, and you can handle many things on your own or in uniquely creative ways.

Though you may have a great deal of energy and drive, you lack confidence or the desire to put yourself and your interests first. Positively you can be very unselfish, working more on behalf of others than for yourself. You deny your own desires and needs too much, however, and you are likely to secretly become very angry, which can sabotage your finest efforts. There is a touch of the incurable romantic in your nature. Your daydreaming and fantasizing world is rich and precious to you. You also bring imagination into your sexual relationships, although you can take a bit of time to feel comfortable and to warm up to a new person in your life. Overcoming a vague and persistent feeling of guilt or doom can go a long way towards a healthier, happier approach to the pursuit of your desires.

24 Trine between Mars - Jupiter

She has a good sense of organization, she is jovial, frank, and sincere. She is full of dynamism and abundant energy. She loves life, taking all it has to offer. She likes sports and the outdoor life. She is successful professionally and emotionally. She may have many children or projects and ventures.

She is honest and forthright in her dealings with others, and She tends to trust others readily. She can be a bit careless about spending money, however, and this is probably because she is so eternally optimistic that there will always be plenty around. The possibility of failure does not enter her mind, although success itself is not as important to her as enjoyment and happiness are. Can be pleasantly competitive and good-humored.

Uranus in Virgo
Interested in nutrition, open to new ways of doing a job or working a schedule. She seeks alternative healing methods, treatments, and methods. She does not immediately trust a strict or overly traditional approach to health and work. She can have some troubles accessing her intuition since logic and rationality often dominate.

Uranus in XI: Uranus is in the eleventh house

Her freedom is important to her, even with regard to friends. Friends cnn be extravagant, original, intellectual. They are not from the same background and often have a different upbringing.

14 Sextile between Uranus - Neptune

She can be wildly creative with an odd but happy sense of humor and perspective. She is an idealist, easily disappointed by those using power plays to advance.

130 Conjunction between Uranus - Pluto

She fights to improve her daily life, she is persevering.

Neptune

Neptune represents transcendental liberty, non-egoistic liberty.

Neptune is in Scorpio
Willing to look beyond the superficial. May confuse intensity and compassion.

May be psychic or simply strongly intuitive. Gentle and yielding. Changeable appearance or image, particularly if Neptune is close to the Ascendant.

31 Sextile between Neptune - Pluto

She is perceptive and able to see layers to a situation. She is naturally drawn to learning what makes herself and others tick.

7 Trine between Neptune - Midheaven

Her plans can sometimes lack realism and are therefore often unattainable. However, creative fields can be enormously successful. Can maintain a mysterious but magical reputation.

Research and investigation come naturally. May worry about health.

Lilith

Black Moon Lilith represents our darker, deeper natures that may be repressed or buried.

Lilith in Aquarius
She may have felt ashamed or uncomfortable for wanting to be part of a group, team, or community or for being one of the crowd. She can feel quite wary of people who seem to need these things. The answer is not to reject these basic needs since her behavior can be confused and extreme if these traits are denied.

North Node-South Node

The South Node represents our overdeveloped character traits. We are talented here but if we overdo this area of life or hold onto these traits to feel secure, we may stagnate. The North Node points to the qualities that we need to work on and develop to achieve inner balance and fulfillment.

North Node in Gemini
She has brilliant ideas and is the first to discover new things. However, she has a tendency to ignore the details and may avoid some responsibilities for fear of becoming too bogged down. Taking on too many activities can keep her from focusing on one or two paths, and this can be to her detriment in the long run.

Another life lesson is to understand the impact of her words. Speaking her truth should be done mindfully or else it may undermine her growth at times. A balance should be sought. She can be an excellent teacher and hold far more meaningful and intelligent exchanges with others in so doing. By learning to slow down and take care of business and to live in the present, she is likely to achieve far more happiness and a wonderful sense of inner balance. Qualities to develop: clarification, listening skills, attention to detail.

North Node in VIII: North Node in the Eighth House

She should watch for holding too tightly to her ways and things for fear of change, as this can limit her and her opportunities. Qualities to develop: sharing, intimacy, willingness to go deep.

The Houses

House I is the area of self identity. The ascendant is a symbol of how one acts in life. It is the image of the personality as seen by others, and the attitude that one has towards life.

Leo with ascendant Libra

Ascendant is Libra

Everybody seems to like Libra Ascendant natives. They just come across as nice, pleasant, and fair. Look a little closer at their lives, and these nice people may have had quite a few problems in their relationships. Some of them have had a string of relationships, and it can be hard to imagine why! These natives attract others to them effortlessly. Besides, they simply don't know what to do with themselves without a significant other. Libra rising generally appear to be smoothing everything over. They have charming smiles, a gentle approach with others, and an easygoing image. Even if they were not endowed with good looks, they are attractive. Most pay a lot of attention to their personal appearance -- the colors they wear, their hair, the way they walk.

Libra rising people can be enormously persuasive, although they will almost always use a "soft sell" approach when they want to win others over, which is all of the time! A tendency to pass the buck and keep up that "nice guy/gal" image are their worst qualities. However, they can make excellent mediators and will generally be the first to accommodate you. Libra rising natives are usually attracted to competent, active partners. Their relationships are often characterized by bickering or competitiveness until they learn to drop their sweet image once in a while and to stop blaming their partners for everything that goes wrong.
